Verizon is hoping to alleviate some of the sticker shock push back they get from customers who complain after shorter bundled pricing promotions end and normal pricing kicks in.
Maybe executives from AT&T and Verizon got inspired by Floyd Mayweather’s boxing win this weekend, because they both came out swinging at their cable competitors this morning. Both telcos launched campaigns that aim to exploit cable’s perceived weaknesses – wireless and price.
Cincinnati Bell announced their “WhyPayForTwo” promotion which offers mobile broadband and home DSL into a single package for $39.99/month.
AT&T announced a new bundling promotion, ‘Buy Two, Get One Free’, which offers free broadband for six months for customers who bundle U-Verse TV with wireless or home phone service.
