Metronet to Expand Fiber Network to Tulsa, Oklahoma

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — May 27, 2025 — (BUSINESS WIRE) — Metronet today announced plans to deliver 100% fiber-optic internet to Tulsa, increasing its presence in the Sooner State. Metronet, PCMag’s back-to-back “Fastest Major ISP,” will privately fund a multimillion-dollar investment in Tulsa’s digital infrastructure. This will bring symmetrical, multi-gigabit speeds to thousands of homes and businesses. Once service is available, Tulsa residents will gain access to advanced fiber-optic technology with speeds of up to five gigabits per second and businesses will gain speeds of up to ten gigabits per second.

“We are proud to offer reliable, advanced fiber-optic technology to Tulsa and are thrilled to continue our expansion across Oklahoma,” said Ben Ruzick, a new market development vice president with Metronet. “As the necessity for internet that can match the pace of our online lives grows, Metronet looks forward to connecting residents, local businesses and Tulsa industries to our network.”

The construction plan is expected to begin this summer, with the first service installations anticipated as early as fall. Tulsa marks Metronet’s second community in Oklahoma as they began construction in Broken Arrow in August and launched fiber internet service there in February.

B.J., a Metronet customer in Broken Arrow, said, “Fantastic service, no data cap, locked-in pricing, and excellent communication—we love it! I’m telling all my neighbors and coworkers about Metronet.”

Residents and businesses interested in Metronet services may visit metronet.com/ok/tulsa for more information and construction updates.

Recognized as the country’s “Fastest Major ISP” by PCMag two years in a row, Metronet will equip Tulsa residents and businesses with the fastest, 100% fiber-optic multi-gigabit speeds. With access to Metronet directly from their home or business, consumers will tap into symmetrical upload and download speeds, improving the quality of life online.

Once construction begins, Tulsa residents will see Metronet trucks in the area. Residents will receive communication by mail about construction activity in their neighborhood 30 days prior to the start date. Additional notifications, such as yard signs, will also inform residents of upcoming construction. Metronet crews will be identifiable by ID tags and branded vehicles.

Metronet plans to hire local positions to support the Tulsa area. Those interested in joining the Metronet team can visit metronet.com/careers to search available positions and to submit applications.

In addition to Tulsa, Metronet is continuing to build a fiber optic network in Broken Arrow. Metronet currently serves 19 states, including Oklahoma, and more than 300 communities across the nation.
