Canada’s MTS Allstream Turns to ETI for FTTH B/OSS

ATLANTA, GA – November 10, 2010 — Enhanced Telecommunications, Inc. (dba ETI Software Solutions) today announced that MTS Allstream has deployed ETI’s flagship product, Triad for automated, flow-through service activation on the MTS fiber network – providing voice, video and data services via the ALU5520 AMS platform.

MTS Allstream, Inc. is one of Canada’s leading national communication solutions providers. Operating under the MTS brand in the province of Manitoba, the division offers consumers next generation wireless, high-speed Internet and data, IPTV wireline voice services, as well as home security services.

“We selected Triad years ago as one of our key BSS/OSS solutions, and we continue to be impressed with its ability to adapt to new technologies like IPTV and FTTH,” said Kelvin Shepherd, President MTS Manitoba. “Triad has allowed us to utilize the same systems to deploy Microsoft® Mediaroom™ IPTV service over copper lines using VDSL2, as well as over our fiber based FiON network. Its integration with Alcatel-Lucent’s ALU5520 AMS platform provides us with the provisioning tools for subscriber ONTs via the ALU 7342 OLTs. This translates into less investment and time necessary for us to deploy.”

Using Triad’s web services API, the solution has been quickly integrated to MTS’ OSS architecture and provides the flow-through activation of voice, video, and data on all ONT ports. MTS also uses Triad to provide coordinated service activation of video set top boxes (STBs) and Video on Demand (VoD) services.

Within the scope of the provisioning, ETI also installed an interface to MTS’s Genband G6 telephone gateway to support voice provisioning on the fiber network, and delivered a custom interface to their Policy Manager application, which supports supplemental subscriber data provisioning of the Alcatel 7450’s through the ALU 5750 SSC.

“MTS Allstream continues to be a leader in the communication industry by effectively delivering cutting edge technology to their subscribers quickly and without substantial cost increases,” said Pete Pifer, Chairman and CEO of ETI Software Solutions. “ETI is proud to be partnered with such a progressive company and we look forward to being part of the success of MTS for years to come.”
