Optimum

Altice USA teamed with former Yankee superstar and baseball Hall of Famer Derek Jeter and a goat to introduce Optimum Complete as the “greatest offer of all time,” playing off the widely used acronym GOAT used to describe sports superstars as the “greatest of all time.”

Optimum Complete combines 5G mobile service and home internet that offers symmetrical speeds of 8 Gbps in some areas. Prices start at $45 per month and include Wi-Fi.

“Optimum Complete combines our most powerful connectivity products – Internet + Mobile – to make life easier for our customers and unlock big savings for them each month,” Leroy Williams, Optimum’s Chief Growth Officer said, “and we couldn’t be happier to work with Derek to bring this campaign to life. Now, customers have the chance to see Optimum’s newest dynamic duo side-by-side to bring them the very best in Internet + Mobile bundles.”

An ad for the offering highlights the goat pun.

Altice USA upgraded its speeds this summer. In July, it said that 8 Gbps symmetrical service was available to more than 1.7 million addresses in its footprint and that it would offer the speed to almost 3 million locations by the end of the year via XGS-PON and Optimum Fiber Gateway technology.

Altice USA, which serves about 4.8 million residential and business customers in 21 states, formerly was branded as Optimum and Suddenlink. On Aug. 1, 2022, the company said that it would bring all its holdings under the Optimum brand.

Optimum Mobile operates under a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) agreement with T-Mobile. In May 2022, the carrier and Altice USA expanded that multiyear agreement.

“It’s been a lot of fun partnering with Optimum,” Jeter said, “[and the experience] also was a first for me: working with a real goat!”

The goat had no comment.
