NEW YORK – July 15, 2010 – Verizon is offering FiOS TV customers another opportunity to see the latest in 3D programming, with a new video-on-demand offering from WealthTV.  The premier luxury lifestyle and entertainment network is making an episode of its series on classic cars, “Wealth on Wheels Classic,” available in 3D – only for Verizon’s FiOS TV subscribers.

“As we progress with 3D on FiOS TV, programming like this from WealthTV gives our customers a chance to see what 3D on FiOS is really all about,” said Tricia Lynch, director of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon.  “Seeing the classic cars come to life in 3D will make viewers feel like they’re in the driver’s seat, especially with the incredible picture quality only FiOS can deliver.  We look forward to providing more 3D programming like this.”

WealthTV’s 3D VOD program is available to all FiOS TV customers across the country who have a 3D television set, 3D glasses and a high-definition set-top box.  FiOS TV customers can find the 3D “Wealth on Wheels” episode in the “High Definition” VOD folder, under HD 3D.  The episode features the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Irvine, Calif., and highlights more than a dozen priceless classic automobiles and the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.  The episode was produced by WealthTV, using the latest stereoscopic technology to further enhance the viewing experience.

WealthTV is available on FiOS TV in standard definition on Channel 169, high definition on Channel 669, and on VOD in 3D and HD.  FiOS TV’s leading VOD service includes 18,000 monthly titles, 70 percent of which are free.  In addition, FiOS offers a broad collection of programming, with more than 565 all-digital channels including up to 140 HD channels.  FiOS also provides next-generation interactive services including an advanced interactive media guide; social networking, news and entertainment widgets; remote DVR management via broadband or cell phone; and more.
