By the end of Brightspeed’s full buildout, more than 34,000 locations across Allen County, Ohio will have access to the Brightspeed fiber network.
The $63M in North Carolina broadband funding will go toward deployments in 30 counties. Brightspeed once again was the biggest winner.
The North Carolina broadband awards total $29M. The six companies winning grants will contribute an additional $12.5M to project costs.
Brightspeed is pursuing its goal with more than $240 million in local, state, and federal broadband grants and funding.
This round of broadband grants will connect 10,810 homes and businesses to high-speed internet in 14 North Carolina counties.
The Brightspeed award is in addition to $12.3 million the provider has received to connect almost 5,900 Ohio homes and businesses.
