New Partnership to Offer Hosted Video Streaming

Mitchell, SD and Westby, WI ‐ Innovative Systems has partnered with Midwest Video Solutions to deliver a fully hosted end‐to‐end Streaming Video and Headend Service. This service will enable video operators the ability to provide a full lineup of television channels that can be accessed by consumer devices.

Innovative Systems Vice President of Video Engineering Jerry Weber shares that this new service gives companies a viable replacement for their existing live streaming services and provides a stable partnership for customers wanting to add or migrate to streaming video. Weber added, “What differentiates this from other national streaming service offerings is a business model that is not dependent upon large subscriber counts. Another advantage of the Innovative Systems and MVS partnership is a regionalized approach which can reduce transport costs while increasing reliability.”

According to MVS Executive Director Marty Snustead, “This partnership with Innovative Systems gives us the ability to offer a high‐quality customer experience combining their MG‐TV Live Streaming Middleware with 20 years of content delivery experience from MVS.” Snustead says, “MVS has been a pioneer in national video transport rights and is one of few companies to have these rights.”

Video operators who are adding streaming or are transitioning to the new service will be able to use their existing CDNs. Operators will have individually branded apps on the Amazon™, Apple™, Roku™ and AndroidTV™ platforms, and consumers using the solution can enjoy their favorite time‐shifted features such as Restart TV, Cloud DVR, and subscription VOD.
