Press Release

PORTLAND, Ore., Sept.28, 2011 – Integra Telecom Inc., a provider of fiber-based, business- grade networking, communications and cloud solutions, has invested more than $11 million in infrastructure and network upgrades in Colorado, Minnesota, Nevada and Washington. This investment includes the addition of nine new collocations throughout the four states and enhancements to existing collocations in Colorado and Reno, Nev. Integra also added a new IP softswitch in Reno. These upgrades expand Integra’s service area around the new collocations and ensure that the company’s full suite of high-bandwidth products and services, including Ethernet over Copper (EoC), are available to businesses of all sizes throughout its 11 state service area.

“At Integra Telecom, we value our relationship with the small- and medium-sized business sector and are committed to providing the latest in fiber-based communication technologies throughout the markets we serve,” said Matt Smith, vice president of sales for Integra Telecom. “These upgrades are part of our broader strategy to invest in next-generation communications that support the SMB market, including networking and IT solutions such as fiber, Ethernet, VPN, hosted PBX and email, as well as online data storage and web hosting.”

Integra’s latest enhancements allow the company to provide services with larger bandwidth capabilities than had previously been possible to larger enterprises as well as small- and medium- sized businesses (SMB).

“Regardless of size, today’s businesses are demanding more bandwidth and greater flexibility,” continued Smith. “At Integra Telecom, we work closely with our customers to identify and personalize our products to meet their needs. These enhancements provide SMBs with access to more efficient large-bandwidth-capable products and services than they previously could receive. Integra now offers a deeper high-bandwidth footprint, broader SMB product line and greater commitment to post-sales support than anyone else in our service area.”

Integra’s network enhancements are paired with an increased investment in its support services. The company recently invested in a new customer relationship management platform to improve its call center capabilities, service monitoring and network operation center capabilities. Additionally, Integra simplified its customer invoicing to ensure fast, reliable and clear service for its customers at every stage.
