Looking to continue turning over a new leaf, FairPoint launched a new website this week. It’s part of a corporate communications strategy to refresh the company with customers and the industry as it attempts to put its recent past history, which included a bankruptcy filing, behind them.

“This is the beginning of an exciting and more useful gateway for our customers,” said Rose B. Cummings, vice president of Integrated Marketing Communications for FairPoint in a press release. “We want visitors to take the tour and see for themselves what FairPoint has to offer.”

The new site does offer a fresh, cleaner look over their old site. I didn’t spend too much time navigating through it to judge effectiveness and functionality, but compared with their old site, they had nowhere to go but up.
