Blackfoot Communications has cut a deal with Syringa that will enable Blackfoot to offer voice, network and managed services for business customers nationwide.
“Syringa is now providing services all over the nation and is expanding their current portfolio of services to all manner of XaaS solutions,” Blackfoot Communications Director of Enterprise Sales Judy Geer told Telecompetitor.
“They are not limited to on-net services in geographic areas. This will allow us to expand our customer base as well.”
Blackfoot Communications was founded in the 1950s as a local telephone service provider. Over the years, its focus has become broader, and it now offers a wide range of residential and business broadband services to customers in rural areas of Idaho and Montana.
Blackfoot is a part owner of Syringa, which was founded over 20 years ago by a group of small rural telecom providers in the northwestern U.S. Initially Syringa provided regional connectivity for member owners. But it also has expanded over the years and now offers a wide range of business services, including global connectivity, through various partnerships.
Syringa offerings are available to owner companies and to other entities.
Blackfoot will offer the Syringa business services through a brokerage model that is already in place, Geer said.
“Syringa will be leveraging their vendors/suppliers to provide pre-sales support for technical solutions, and they have service providers that will be available for integration projects as needed,” said Geer.
