Cox Expands Wireless MVNO Footprint

ATLANTA, June 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Cox’s “Unbelievably Fair” advertising campaign will begin this week in Roanoke and Northern Virginia, officially signaling the next Cox markets to receive Cox Wireless and furthering its plans to bring wireless to more than 50 percent of its footprint by the end of this year. In the state of Virginia, Cox Wireless is currently available in Hampton Roads.

“The Unbelievably Fair value proposition has received a very enthusiastic response from our wireless customers and we look forward to bringing the same value and conveniences to consumers in Roanoke and Northern Virginia,” said Kelly Williams, Cox’s vice president of wireless products and operations. In Cox’s current wireless markets, which include Hampton Roads, Va., Omaha, Neb., Orange County, Calif., Tulsa and Oklahoma City, Rhode Island and communities served in Connecticut and Cleveland, Ohio, the company is already nearly doubling its projected subscriber forecast.
