Zayo Opens New Data Center

BOULDER, Colo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– zColo, the colocation business of international Bandwidth Infrastructure provider Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ZAYO), today announced it has opened a new data center in Denver. Located at 1500 Champa Street in downtown Denver, it is Zayo’s third data center in Colorado, and features 19,000 square feet of data center space.

The new carrier-neutral facility will provide customers with expansive interconnectivity options and the ability to access Zayo’s fiber-optic network, which includes high-count fiber connectivity to 910 15th Street in Denver. 1500 Champa Street offers 2MW of fully-redundant power, serviced from diverse utility feeds and 2N configuration cooling.

In February, zColo established a presence in the Denver market through the acquisition of Latisys, a colocation and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) provider. Through Latisys, zColo also has locations at 393 Inverness Parkway in Englewood and 6900 South Peoria Street in Centennial.

“This is a strategic market expansion for zColo,” said Stephanie Copeland, president of zColo. “With the addition of a third facility in the Denver area, we are able to offer customers broad availability of high-quality data center and interconnect-oriented colocation, connected by a deep fiber footprint.”

zColo’s colocation footprint now totals 159,000 square feet in the Denver market and includes SSAE 16 SOC 2, SOC 3, HIPAA, and PCI compliant facilities.
