Press Release

April 16, 2015 — HERNDON, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–XO Communications (XO), a leading national provider of advanced IP communications, has launched “HPBX Concierge,” a “touch-free” feature for its award-winning Hosted PBX (HPBX) service. While customers already have the ability to manage their HPBX services online, they can now opt to leverage Concierge, a white-glove, personalized service that enables XO account administrators to change, add, or delete phone numbers and modify certain features for customers’ HPBX, by simply making a phone call to XO. As a result, XO HPBX customers can focus their resources on core business priorities rather than managing their phone services.

“Working closely with our customers we realized that businesses do not always have the time or manpower to make the most common, basic configuration changes themselves,” said Jake Heinz, senior vice president of marketing and product at XO Communications. “We answered the need for a higher level of support by offering HPBX Concierge so that customers have streamlined options for managing common administrative features of their HPBX phone service.”

XO also recently expanded its suite of unified communications features for its HPBX service with optional enhancements that include: instant messaging; presence (availability status); integration with Microsoft Outlook; web-based collaboration, document and desktop sharing; as well as video calling and fax-to-email capabilities. The XO HPBX service also automatically includes the popular WorkTimeTM mobility application that offers a smartphone app and virtual PBX softphone client for the user’s desktop. The growing XO suite of unified communications tools are designed to enhance user productivity by saving time and increasing efficiency.

The XO HPBX service previously won INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence and INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year awards. Infonetics has also recognized XO as one of the top two IP connectivity suppliers of VoIP in North America. The XO WorkTime mobility application also received Light Reading Leading Lights and INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year awards.
