LIVINGSTON, Texas (January 1, 2014) – USConnect Holdings, Inc. (USConnect) announces the closing of its previously announced acquisition of Livingston, Texas based The Livingston Telephone Company.  The acquisition represents the first of several transactions USConnect expects to close over the next several months.  Financial terms were not disclosed.

“We are excited to bring the experience and capabilities of the USConnect team to the Livingston Telephone company and its customers,” said Brad Erwin, general manager and chief executive officer of Farmers Telephone Cooperative of Kingstree, South Carolina and a member of the board of directors of USConnect. “We understand that dedicated employees, a commitment to community and excellent customer service are hallmarks of rural communications providers and we look forward to continuing to strengthen the communications network for Livingston Telephone’s customers.”
