Time Warner Cable Targets Frontier Subscribers

The highlights a in the Rochester, New York market. Time Warner Cable is offering to pay the early termination fees (up to $200) for existing Frontier subscribers if they sign up for Time Warner digital phone and/or cable modem service.

The promotion is reminiscent of ‘dish buy-back’ campaigns offered by cable companies (and some telcoTV), where they paid existing DBS customers to drop satellite service and take cable service instead. This particular promotion runs through June 26th. Should it be successful, we expect it will be extended.
