Telecompetitor Receives ASBPE Gold Award

Telecompetitor Broadband Nation Wins National Gold Azbee Editorial Award

The American Society of Business Publication Editors awarded Telecompetitor a National Gold Azbee award for Telecompetitor Broadband Nation on May 16. The win was for the special section/microsite category.

Telecompetitor Broadband Nation, launched in June 2023, includes a wealth of information about U.S. efforts to get everyone in the country connected to broadband. Reach it via the “Broadband Nation” button at the upper right of the home page, then click on a state to find links to state funding resources, awards made, state specific Telecompetitor coverage and more.

The Broadband Nation special section was designed to be useful to broadband providers interested in obtaining funding to cover some of the costs of deploying high-speed service to unserved and underserved locations. Federal and state agencies or anyone wanting to know more about efforts to make the U.S. a fully connected nation also may find useful information via Broadband Nation.

There is also a companion bi-weekly Broadband Nation newsletter to which interested parties can subscribe via the “Subscribe” button on the Telecompetitor website.

The creation of Broadband Nation was a collaborative effort involving Telecompetitor staff, as well as web design and development staff from the publication’s owner Pivot Group.

The Broadband Nation National Gold Azbee award came on top of three regional awards to Telecompetitor announced last month. Broadband Nation won a Gold award for the Pacific region. Telecompetitor also won a Regional Silver award for our coverage of the emerging quantum internet in the Technology & Innovation Reporting category and a Regional Bronze award in the enterprise news category for our post titled “RDOF Defaults Estimate: Over $2.8B-What Happens to That Money?”

We look forward to continuing to bring you more award-worthy coverage of broadband business and technology.
