Sunflower Broadband Launches DOCSIS 3.0

SUWANEE, Ga., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — ARRIS ( ARRS) announced today that Sunflower Broadband, an MSO serving the state of Kansas, has deployed ARRIS Touchstone® WBM 750 wideband modem service to customers in Lawrence, Eudora and other rural Kansas communities. Sunflower Broadband plans to complete its DOCSIS 3.0 rollout to the remainder of its systems by the end of first quarter 2010.

“We are very happy with our decision to launch DOCSIS 3.0 service using the ARRIS Touchstone Wideband Modem,” said Rod Kutemeier, Sunflower’s General Manager. “We first deployed these devices in August, 2009, and have seen excellent performance in the field. ARRIS has shined on both fulfillment and product quality for Sunflower Broadband.”
