The soft launch will be followed by customer trials in the first quarter 2008, with commercial availability in the second quarter. Sprint plans to go with portable WiMAX out of the gate, featuring laptop cards. They also plan to aggressively move to mobile WiMAX, featuring devices powered by Intel. Motorola, and Samsung.
