ORLANDO, FL — October 21, 2014 — Leaco Rural Telephone Cooperative chooses ClearSky Technologies for real-time traffic and policy management
ClearSky Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of hosted mobile data infrastructure and managed services to wireless operators, today announced the signing of a multi-year agreement with its newest Total Traffic manager (TTM) customer, Leaco Rural Telephone Cooperative, Inc.
Sid Applin, GM/CEO of Leaco said, “As data usage continues to explode, we needed a long-term solution to understand and control our on- and off-network data consumption; the real-time traffic visibility delivered by TTM allows us to reduce wholesale roaming charges by managing the usage of certain applications and modifying browsing behavior when subscribers are roaming.”
ClearSky’s TTM service handles the complexity of writing policies, tracking data usage and making enforcement decisions, thereby minimizing the effort required by the operator. Customizable advice-of-charge pages provide subscribers the ability to self-manage their data plans, with options such as purchasing incremental data access or opting into a plan that permits tethering.
“By monitoring and analyzing the data traffic going through Leaco’s network, TTM can identify and address common problems such as unauthorized tethering, out-of-control roaming costs, congestion, or missed revenue opportunities,” said Tony Tagliareni, ClearSky Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. “We are proud to add Leaco to our ever-growing community of clients using our cost-effective traffic and policy management solution.”
