We are excited to be teaming with BelAir and look forward to serving our customers the latest innovations in cable video, broadband and now Cable Wi-Fi solutions.”
The Cable Wi-Fi portfolio supports virtual Wi-Fi access points that allow cable operators to offer branded Wi-Fi services to their service provider partners using a single access point. Combined with the ability to provide localized backhaul of cellular devices, these Cable Wi-Fi and picocellular technologies offer opportunities for new revenue streams.
“Teaming with Motorola is a great opportunity for BelAir Networks as the cable market ramps up its interest in Cable Wi-Fi access and commercial wireless backhaul solutions,” said Bernard Herscovich, president and chief executive officer, BelAir Networks. “With Motorola’s depth of experience in the cable industry and global go-to-market reach, it presents a perfect opportunity for BelAir and Motorola to benefit from cable operators’ growing demand for Cable Wi-Fi access and picocellular technologies. It’s an exciting time for BelAir and the relationship with Motorola reinforces our desire to continue to be the leading provider of Wi-Fi solutions to the industry.”
