Loop Internet ICR Offers Efficiency Through Redundancy

The most inefficient way to run a business is to be unsure if it is in danger of grinding to a halt at random times. Loop Internet’s new Internet Connection Redundancy (ICR) system aims to help companies avoid that outcome.

And for companies already using Loop, it avoids the need to enter into expensive backup agreements with other providers. The Loop Internet ICR is available on a per-month basis for customers of its fiber internet service.

“While fiber internet outages are rare due to fiber’s outstanding reliability, outages due to severe weather and construction can happen. We’re committed to delivering innovation that safeguards our customers from these risks,” Loop Internet CEO Chris Hacken said in the announcement of the ICR.

Features of the new platform:

  • Auto failover that provides instantaneous switching to alternative networks during primary connection disruptions.
  • Speeds as fast as 1 Gbps (dependent upon line of sight). This supports applications such as video conferencing and payment platforms.
  • Dynamic traffic management via SD-WAN integration. This optimizes data routing across wired and wireless networks for efficiency and security.
  • A business-grade router and any necessary antennas. All installation and maintenance is provided by Loop Internet.

Loop Internet, which is located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, was founded in 2015.

In addition to the Loop Internet ICR, other telecommunications providers are offering new business offerings aimed at improved efficiency and other conveniences:

In February, Charter Communications’ Spectrum Business brand unveiled flexible packages and simplified prices, faster internet speeds for new business customers and free “speed lifts” for current customers.

In early March, RingCentral announced that it and Cox Business were partnering to offer Cox Business Connect. The platform offering offers efficiency through an enterprise cloud-based video and audio calling, chat, text, and fax from a single application.

Cox Business Connect features AI-driven capabilities including meeting transcriptions, closed captions, summaries, and meeting highlights. The platform provides management functionality, CRM integrations, conversational insights, and coaching.
