Press Release

Multiple Indiana counties to receive next-generation services

Boca Raton, FL, January 26, 2009 – Airspan Networks Inc., a leading provider of broadband wireless access networks, announced today that LigTel Communications, an Indiana-based telecommunications company offering next-generation data services, purchased Airspan’s advanced technology WiMAX equipment through systems integrator Stutler Technologies Corp.

Operating in the 700 MHz and 3.65 GHz frequency bands, LigTel’s network serves residents and businesses of several counties, including Noble, LaGrange, Elkhart, Kosciusko and Whitley.

The dual frequency network incorporates Airspan’s MicroMAXd and HiperMAX platforms, allowing LigTel to broaden their offering to a larger customer base. Coupled with the outdoor ProST CPE (Customer Premises Equipment), the network maximizes range and coverage.

“LigTel selected the Airspan equipment because no other vendor could offer the full suite of products operating in both the 700 MHz and 3.65 GHz bands. We have been very pleased with the performance of the equipment and have plans for expansion in 2010,” commented Don Johnson, General Manager of LigTel.

“LigTel is the typical Middle-America operator. Their service area covers a range of regions including urban, suburban and the truly rural. They required a customized solution that was able to operate in both frequency bands as well as offer a comprehensive, robust solution at an affordable price point. Airspan was able to accommodate these needs,” stated J.J. Stutler, CEO of Stutler Technologies. “Stutler has a wealth of experience with wireless operators such as

LigTel, especially those facing rural challenges. Our partnership with Airspan Networks allows us to best serve these customers with end-to-end WiMAX solutions that fit their business cases.”

Airspan’s advanced technology equipment incorporates high-end features such high-speed data, carrier-class voice, Wi-Fi integration, advanced frequency reuse and true Non-Line-of- Sight (NLOS) operation.

“Airspan is well positioned to serve American operators of all types and sizes. With the widest variety of equipment on the market, we offer a truly robust and easy-to-deploy solution. Our products serve multiple business models for rural and emerging markets as well as urban, mobile businesses,” commented Amit Ancikovsky, President of Sales and Products for Airspan. “Stutler has been a valued partner for several years. We look forward to continuing our shared goals in serving the US market together.”

Airspan’s comprehensive product portfolio offers fixed and mobile WiMAX solutions for operation in the 700 MHz up to 5.9 GHz bands.
