RingCentral, Inc. and Cox Business are partnering to offer business customers Cox Business Connect, which includes access to an enterprise cloud communications platform providing video and audio calling, chat, text, and fax from a single application.
Cox Business Connect will also include AI-driven capabilities, such as meeting transcriptions, closed captions, summaries, and meeting highlights. Other features that the partners noted are AI quality management, CRM integrations, conversational insights, and coaching.
Cox Business Contact Center with RingCentral will debut later this year.
“We are constantly evolving our product portfolio to drive greater business outcomes for our customers, and their end users,” Mark Greatrex, Cox Communications president, said in the Cox Business Connect announcement.
“By combining the Cox Business fiber-powered network with RingCentral’s capabilities, we empower companies of all sizes to streamline their operations, enhance employee productivity, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive long-term growth.”
The announcement of Cox Business Connect comes just weeks after Charter announced a new business offering under its Spectrum brand. Charter Communications’ Spectrum Business brand introduced benefits for new and current business customers, including flexible packages and simplified prices, faster internet speeds for new business customers, and free “speed lifts” for some current customers.
The offering, available as of late February, encompasses Spectrum’s Customer Commitment — an assurance rolled out to residential customers last year and now aimed at Spectrum Business customers. The substance of the commitment is about reliability, transparency, and excellent service.
New small business customers can get Spectrum Business Internet for $40 per month for 12 months, with a starting speed of 500 Mbps. However, it must be bundled with two other business products. Bundling options include Spectrum Business Voice, Business Connect, Spectrum Mobile, and Business TV. Customers will have an option to get a three-year price guarantee as part of that bundle by leveling up to 750 Mbps or 1 Gig speed.
