Apparently, Clearwire is having success in acquiring subscribers from other broadband service providers. Clearwire counted 258,000 subscribers at the end of the first quarter 2007, having gained 52,000 during the quarter. Ben Wolf, Clearwire’s CEO revealed these numbers at the recent Morgan Stanley Annual Communications Conference held last week. Clearwire is also moving into VoIP.
