Charter Launches Wireless Internet Backup for Spectrum Business Customers

Stamford, Connecticut — October 2, 20202 — Charter Communications, Inc. today announced the launch of Wireless Internet Backup for Spectrum Business customers throughout the company’s 41-state footprint. Designed to enhance and protect internet service for small- and medium-sized businesses, Wireless Internet Backup helps businesses stay connected in the event of the unexpected.

“A reliable internet connection is vital for today’s businesses,” said Dave Rodrian, Charter’s Group Vice President of Internet Products. “Wireless Internet Backup enhances our existing Spectrum Business Internet product by providing complete connectivity. It gives our customers peace of mind, knowing that their business will be protected.”

Available as an add-on solution for all standard Spectrum Business Internet speeds, Wireless Internet Backup provides a redundant LTE connection, protecting against disruptions in internet connectivity that can happen during a power outage.

In the event of a network disruption, the system automatically activates to seamlessly deliver a wireless connection with unlimited usage and no overage fees, allowing businesses to maintain use of critical devices, such as point-of-sale systems and other necessary applications.
