CenturyLink Brings 25 Mbps Broadband Tier to Montana Markets

KALISPELL, Mont. – CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) today announced that it has launched the fastest Internet speed available in the Flathead Valley, Montana, by turning up 25 Mbps High-Speed Internet service in the area.

“We are excited to bring this higher speed Internet service to businesses and consumers throughout the Greater Kalispell area,” said CenturyLink vice president and general manager Jeremy Ferkin. “This higher speed means increased benefits and productivity for customers in our area.”

“We are pleased to see the leadership CenturyLink is taking to bring higher speed Internet service to the business owners in the Flathead Valley,” said Montana West Economic Development Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer Kellie Danielson. “This makes our area more appealing to companies as we work together to help expand business opportunities.”

For example, the faster speed Internet service can help businesses be more productive by uploading and downloading documents faster. For high-bandwidth businesses from small graphic design businesses to large medical radiology firms, the time savings could be dramatic.

Residential customers also will benefit. For example, the higher speed Internet service means students in the area will have faster access to high-quality streaming video learning tools and will be able to download information for their projects from the Internet in a shorter amount of time.

“We want to enable our area students to expand their horizons with faster access to many of the learning technologies available on the Internet,” Ferkin said. “Education is critical to the future economic development opportunities in our area.”
