Cellular South Expands its Wireless Footprint through Purchase of Regional Wireless Network Provider in North Alabama and Georgia
RIDGELAND, Miss., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ — Cellular South, the nation’s largest privately held wireless provider, announced today that it has completed its acquisition of Alabama-based Corr Wireless Communications. With this strategic purchase, Cellular South will now be able to offer the industry’s best devices, plans and network to customers in northeastern Alabama and parts of Georgia.
“With Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approval of our acquisition of Corr Wireless, we have taken an important step forward in Cellular South’s growth plans, and also for Corr Wireless employees and customers,” said Ben Pace, chief financial officer for Cellular South. “Our successful business model and compelling value proposition continue to drive healthy growth of our customer base and expansion of our industry-leading service offerings.”
For now, Corr Wireless will continue to offer wireless products and services under its existing name. Over time, Corr customers should expect the introduction of more advanced devices, robust plans and improved network quality as well as an increased focus on helping them get the most out of their wireless experience.
Cellular South, which celebrates 22 years of operation this week, continues to discover new ways to position itself for healthy growth so it can compete in an ever-evolving wireless industry.
