Cable penetration has hit a 17 year low, thanks mostly to DBS, but increasingly thanks to IPTV as well. Cable penetration fell to 68.3 million households in February, down from a 2005 number of 70.6 million. Meanwhile DBS increased its penetration to 25.2% from 21%.
