AUGUST 19, 2021 — SUGAR LAND, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Kinetic Business announced today that it is participating in the TEA Connect Texas initiative to support local education agencies that seek to provide home-based broadband internet access to economically disadvantaged students at discounted rates.

The TEA Connect Texas Program is specific to Texas K-12 Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and includes internet service as well as equipment needed to offer fixed broadband internet to economically disadvantaged kindergarten through 12th-grade households. It provides bandwidth of up to 50 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload.
Region 4 Education Service Center in Houston is the lead agency for the program. LEAs can secure bulk, in-home broadband access for students through OMNIA Partners’ cooperative purchasing program and partnership with Region 4.
