windstream kinetic iptvWindstream Kinetic Secure, an Internet “protection bundle,” now is available in all the provider’s markets.Kinetic Secure is an evolution of Windstream’s Shield products that provide endpoint and gateway/modem security. Features such as parental control and mobile device management are integrated with Kinetic’s managed WiFi service.

The creation of Kinetic Secure is the result of a partnership with F-Secure. In addition to parental controls and gateway/modem security, the platform offers browsing and identity theft protection and monitoring of personal information and credit, comprehensive whole home agent tech support and management and monitoring, and optimization of home WiFi through the Kinetic MyWIN app.

“Security and peace of mind are critical to enjoying a great internet experience. Kinetic is proud to bring an industry-leading security service to our customers,” Jeff Small, the president of the company’s consumer and small and midsize business segment, said in a press release. “Our service is purposely designed to restore control over the internet experience to our customers through easy to use settings in the MyWIN mobile application. In short, Kinetic Secure gives power and control over the digital home back to our customers,” said Jeff Small, president of the company’s consumer and small and midsize business segment.

According to the Windstream website, Kinetic Secure pricing will start at $9.99 per month and tops out at $14.99/month for the Total Secure package. Total secure includes identitiy theft protection and traditional wire maintenance for the home.

F-Secure also was selected to support TDS Internet Security. The announcement, which was made in late August, said that protection was offered against malware and ransomware; viruses, worms and Trojans, spyware and adware and spam and junk mail. Users could block malicious sites, manage device security remotely and safeguard online financial transactions.
