May 21, 2012 — LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Windstream (Nasdaq: WIN) is rolling out the red carpet for one lucky movie buff. To celebrate the launch of Merge, its new high-speed Internet and streaming entertainment service, Windstream will launch an entertainment sweepstakes and embark on a 29-city tour this summer.
The Merge Ticket to Hollywood Sweepstakes will open Monday, May 21, 2012, and close Friday, Aug. 31, 2012. Contestants can enter online on the Windstream Connects Facebook page for a chance to win the ultimate entertainment package. The grand prize winner, who will be announced on Sept. 6, will receive round-trip airfare for two to Los Angeles, Calif., a 5-night stay at The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel, two passes for a back-lot tour of a movie studio, $1,000 cash, one 60-inch flat-screen television, one year’s worth of movie tickets for two and a 1-year subscription to HuluPlus. In support of the sweepstakes, the Merge Ticket to Hollywood Tour will kick off Friday, May 25, in Harrison, Ark. Upon arrival in each of the 29 cities on the route, the tour’s brand ambassadors will visit local movie theatres and Windstream retail stores. Individuals will be able to enter the sweepstakes on-site, receive small prizes and learn more about Merge.
