Wavelink FWA Service Features Carrier-Agnostic Connection

The new fixed wireless access (FWA) internet service from Wavelink introduces a new feature called Multi-Carrier Ultra, a technique that enables the strongest connection among several carriers to provide backup connectivity.

LeapView Group, LLC and Albion Ventures are collaborating on the new Wavelink service. LeapView is providing digital technology, marketing, and business development. Albion Ventures provides call center support, network management, and customer service functions.

Subscriptions to the service start at $29 per month. There are four options for the Wavelink service, which can use 5G, LTE, and Wi-Fi 6:

  • Wavelink Internet Access provides fixed wireless internet service for home and business and includes built-in backup internet.
  • Wavelink Backup Internet provides FWA internet connectivity. The aim is to backup connections to business operations and remote workers.
  • Wavelink WIFI On-the-Go delivers remote mobile Internet in a portable device.
  • Wavelink Communities for multiple dwelling units (MDUs) connects properties.

“Albion Ventures’ mission is to drive business growth and success through technological innovation and operational excellence,” Albion Ventures’ CEO Wayne Thompson said in a press release.

“We are dedicated to ensuring that our clients receive the best possible support, 24/7, with all aspects of customer service support and network handled by our expert team. We are proud to support Wavelink Internet service operations and network monitoring.”

FWA has made significant gains during the past few years. In late April, Horowitz Research reported on findings that illustrated the rising popularity of 5G FWA.

The firm found that 56% of non-FWA subscribers were likely to consider it when it became available in their area. At the time of the research, FWA had 12% penetration, which was a three-fold increase since the firm began covering the technology. The technology is comparatively easy to deploy and can cost less.

Late last month, J.D.Power released research that said that prices had increased a little bit for wireless for TV and streaming bundles but a bit less for FWA.
