GILLETTE, Wyo. (Dec. 16, 2024) – Visionary Broadband, an industry leader in providing high-speed fiber internet to rural communities, is introducing 5 Gbps fiber service this month. This upgrade delivers a significant leap in internet performance, providing customers with double the speed.

The company previously offered a maximum speed of 2 Gbps.

In addition, the company will eliminate packages with slower speeds, and the minimum fiber speed will now be 1 Gbps.

While the new 5 Gbps plan will see a modest price adjustment, Visionary Broadband’s plan will still be significantly more affordable than comparable offerings from other providers.

“Our mission has always been to deliver excellent service and value to our customers,” said Brian Worthen, CEO of Visionary Broadband. “With the launch of the increased speed, we’re ensuring everyone in our network can experience ultra-fast, reliable internet — whether they’re working from home or just streaming a TV show.”

Visionary Broadband is committed to reaching customers in the rugged terrain of the Western U.S., where internet connectivity has traditionally been underserved. By using innovative technology and robust infrastructure, the company has successfully extended its fiber network to areas where other providers struggle to reach, bringing future-proofed fiber internet to communities that have long been left behind.

The speed increases will be seen in Casper, Cheyenne, Douglas, Gillette and Glendo, Wyo., along with Hardin and Whitehall, Mont.
