Visible, the digital-first wireless carrier by Verizon, announced Visible Home Internet on Wednesday. The service is launching with an introductory offer of $49.99 — which includes a gateway and the first two months of service — with a $30 per month charge thereafter. A discount is available for customers who pay annually, which costs $300 per year.
Verizon touted Visible Home Internet as an easier way to get online from home, rather than scheduling technicians, reserving windows, and waiting for a technician to arrive.
According to the announcement, traditional installation no longer fits how people move, with over 60% of movers prioritizing getting connected on or before move-in day. Visible Home Internet gateway ships directly to customers and is designed for self-setup in a few minutes, the company said, after which it connects immediately to Verizon’s nationwide 5G network.
“People deserve better options, especially during busy seasons when every dollar and minute counts,” Mike Sarcone, vice president of commercial growth for Verizon Value, said in a prepared statement.
“Visible offers a simple $30-per-month option for home internet with transparent pricing, instant connectivity, and no hidden ‘gotchas.’ For those looking for the ultimate set up, you can get unlimited mobile and home internet for just $55 a month — all in one bill with taxes and fees included.”
The Visible service became available at Best Buy last fall, at both BestBuy.com and physical retail locations. At the time, Verizon said, “Teaming up with Best Buy was perfect because they understand our tech-savvy customers who research online but sometimes want to speak with an expert in-store, delivering the digital-first experience they love with the retail support they sometimes need.”
