FootballVerizon is offering new non-FiOS triple play customers a free year of DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket package. In an interesting move, the new deal was first announced via their Verizon at Home blog. “No formal announcement yet.  We’re letting readers of the Verizon At Home blog know about this first here.” As of 9:30a ET today, I can’t find reference of it on Verizon.com.

Customers have to subscribe to a triple play package of DSL, DirecTV (with an HD DVR package), and unlimited long distance phone calling. The package is priced at $120/month for either 3 Mbps or 7 Mbps DSL and includes the 2009 NFL Sunday Ticket package. They’re also including Showtime for a year at no extra charge. Seems like a decent deal to me, especially for football fans. Who says Verizon is ignoring DSL customers. Now, if you only knew how to sign up?
