Press Release

(NASHVILLE, TN) April 13, 2016–Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems announces that United Wireless, a division of United Telephone, relies on the TeleLink solution for mediation and usage reporting. For more than 60 years, United Telephone has provided high quality communications services to their neighbors in Southwest Kansas. Their commitment to providing excellent coverage for customers means that United Wireless has roaming and business agreements with many other carriers. The company licensed the TeleLink platform from Equinox to mediate and filter records for delivery to the appropriate trading partner and billing systems. Additionally, TeleLink extracts, enriches, and stores United Wireless’s usage data, allowing them to generate extensive ad hoc reports of network activity, such as on-net/off-net and roaming usage, so they can continue offering the best services at the best value to their customers.

“We primarily selected TeleLink for its mediation capabilities, so we could automatically and efficiently filter and separate usage records from several different sources and carriers in varying switch formats,” explained Bob Carlson, Roaming Coordinator for United Wireless “But TeleLink’s reporting capabilities are quite impressive…this system stores and summarizes all our usage, allowing us to run big picture reports as well as look all the way down to the individual record.”

TeleLink captures usage data for essential reporting and analysis functions. Its powerful search and reporting tools give unparalleled access to usage data historically and in real-time. Its mediation features are extremely robust, allowing disparate records to easily be standardized, searched, stored, and delivered to downstream systems like billing. TeleLink includes an advanced set of pre-configured reports as well as a report creation tool for generating ad hoc statistical and root cause analysis reports.

“Equinox has a proven track record of providing mediation and reporting solutions for the wireless industry and are proud to welcome United Wireless as a customer,” commented Equinox Executive Vice President David West. “We are confident that the visibility TeleLink gives United Wireless into their network activity will benefit them as they continue to serve the communities of Southwest Kansas and their partner carriers.”
