TruVista Announces Completion of PlantTel Acquisition

Chester, SC July 7, 2022 — TruVista Communications (“TruVista”) today announced that it has closed its previously announced transaction in which TruVista acquired Plant Telephone Company (“PTC”) and Plant Telecommunications Sales & Services, Inc. (“PTS”) (together “PlantTel”). The combined entity will operate under the TruVista name.

The combination of TruVista and PlantTel will create a leading broadband services and technology company, serving customers in North Central South Carolina, Northeast Georgia and Southern Georgia.

The completion of the transactions will drive investment into the combined entity’s advanced broadband network, resulting in faster broadband speeds, as well as enhanced video and voice products for consumers and businesses.

TruVista’s focus on network and product investments combined with its desire to provide high quality customer service are the centerpieces of initiatives toward driving greater subscriber satisfaction.

“I want to thank all of the employees at TruVista and PlantTel,” said Carla French, CEO of TruVista. “Throughout this transaction, they kept their focus on the customer, and as a result, today we join together two companies, each operating with tremendous momentum.

“Current PlantTel customers won’t see many changes right away, though in the coming weeks and months they will begin to hear more from us about the TruVista brand, and the product improvements and consumer friendly policies that come with it. TruVista’s objective is to provide high quality products and back it up with excellent customer service, and we intend to continually improve the way we do business in order to be the very best at what we do.”

TruVista will be led by Carla French, who will serve as president and chief executive officer of the combined entity.

In addition to Ms. French, the TruVista senior leadership team consists of Tim Geyer, executive vice president and chief financial officer; Mike Petty, executive vice president and chief operating officer; Scott Roberts, executive vice president and chief revenue officer; and Eric Ramey, vice president of Regulatory and Administration.
