Press Release

NEW YORK-Oct 24, 2012–Time Warner Cable today announced the launch of an application to help users simplify their social lives. Social One is a one-stop destination that allows customers to easily access social media platforms and instant messaging services, directly from their desktop, using an innovative and easy-to-follow layout.

The free application integrates seamlessly with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, YouTube, AIM and more, so users can stay connected to all of their networks and friends from one place. Users can easily share links, images, and video from the web with all of their social networks at the same time. It also allows users to preview and engage with email messages, wall posts, IMs, etc. and share conversations across networks by simply dragging and dropping web content.

Social One includes an innovative technology called Socialzine that lets users view their social networks and consumer portal content in a clean and elegant magazine style layout. They can monitor social media and messaging, check their Web Mail, get inbox alerts, preview messages and write responses—all from their desktop.

“We’re proud of our continuous efforts to offer new and innovative products that let our customers enjoy whatever they’re passionate about even better,” said Steve Cook, Senior Vice President & General Manager of High-Speed Data, Time Warner Cable. “With the broad spectrum of social media networks available today, it’s increasingly difficult for Internet users to keep up with their social presence online. Social One provides users a more enjoyable social media experience by keeping their activity organized and consolidated in one location.”

Developed in conjunction with Yoono, Inc., the application is available as a PC desktop application, Mac OS application, and Firefox add-on. Social One is, and may be downloaded at: www.rr.com/socialone.
