Looking to be the ‘whole-home’ digital infotainment services provider in the U.S., Time Warner Cable (TWC) is launching a nationwide rollout of its SignatureHome triple play service. The content and service package includes Whole House DVR, Remote DVR Manager, Wireless Home Networking for as many as 14 devices, Digital Home Phone with unlimited nationwide calling, and VoiceZone on PC, which provides online retrieval of voice messages, as well as TWC’s Wideband High Speed Online Internet tier (claimed to offer downloads at up to 50 Mb/s and upload speeds as high as 5 Mb/s) or the fastest tier available locally.

Personalized customer service is an aspect of SignatureHome that TWC expects will differentiate the service from competing offerings. SignatureHome test marketing conducted in Charlotte, NC in this year’s third quarter “revealed the most valued technical features and customer service needs that drive preference among this market segment.”

As a result, SignatureHome customers have access to a “specially trained team of SignatureService agents,” which includes Personal Solutions Advisors and Connection Specialists. Pricing for the service is expected to be in the range of $180 – $200 per month, depending on market conditions.

“We have listened to what our customers want and are responding to their needs with a tailored selection of offerings that feature the best of the best in both technology and service,” Time Warner Cable CEO Glenn Britt was quoted as saying. “We believe that SignatureHome™ will give our customers a distinct experience, enabling them seamless control over multiple technical aspects of their home while ensuring each lifestyle is given the attention and service it deserves.”
