ThinkBig Networks, acquired by IQ Fiber earlier this year, announced this week that is rebranding with the parent firm’s name, the final step in uniting the two companies.
Under the IQ Fiber brand, ThinkBig Networks serves Maryland customers with its original local team and a 100% fiber-optic network.
The company plans to move forward with its network deployment to additional locations across the Chesapeake Bay and Mid-Atlantic regions.
According to the company, with the rebrand to IQ Fiber, former ThinkBig Networks customers will enjoy:
- IQ Fiber’s account portal with account details, billing history, and online support tools
- Technical support from IQ Fiber’s 24/7 in-house support team
- IQ Fiber’s proactive monitoring systems
- Existing networks will be upgraded and new products, including both 2 Gig and 5 Gig residential plans as well as new business plans.
The following will remain unchanged as ThinkBig becomes IQ Fiber:
- 100% fiber-optic internet connection
- Existing service plans
- Installed equipment and configurations
“This rebrand represents more than a new name. It reflects the combination of two great companies that have been focused on building a smarter experience for our customers,” IQ Fiber CEO Ted Schremp said in a prepared statement. “We’re combining ThinkBig’s trusted local team with IQ Fiber’s platform and expanded resources to deliver a faster, simpler, and more human internet experience.”
IQ Fiber’s growth hasn’t been limited to acquisitions. Earlier this year, the company launched Business Internet service throughout its markets.
The ThinkBig Networks name change to IQ Fiber is just the latest in a series of similar branding moves — including those from Optimum Communications, Fidium, and Amazon Leo — though in this case the change was prompted by the merger of two companies.
