Telechannel Brings Yellow Pages to TV for Telco TV

America’s Leading IPTV Programmer for Telcos Offers New YELLOW PAGES ON TV App

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ — IPTV content provider TELECHANNEL announced today that it will make the market-leading application YELLOW PAGES ON TV available to all Telco Operators. “YELLOW PAGES ON TV makes it possible for Telco Operators to leverage their existing Yellow Pages advertising business. With a push of a remote control button, Telco TV subscribers can see on their televisions up-to-the minute listings of local merchants,” said TELECHANNEL CEO Jeff Maxwell.

While still an extremely important local advertising tool, traditional Yellow Page listings are undergoing a transition from a print product to an interactive digital experience. YELLOW PAGES ON TV provides Telco TV operators the ability to leverage this transition, while building a “sticky” application for their video offering.

With the YELLOW PAGES application Telco TV Operators can build upon their existing local community presence and generate new revenue from Yellow Book advertisers. “The YELLOW PAGES ON TV application enables Telco TV Operators to sell a wide variety of advertising like elevated search ranking, banner ads, and video ads that will allow subscribers to send e-mail or place phone calls on their televisions,” said Maxwell.

TELECHANNEL will be demonstrating the YELLOW PAGES ON TV Application at the TELCO TV 09 show in booth #909, November 10-12 in Orlando, Florida.
