Press Release

Bend, Ore. (April 29, 2020) – BendBroadband is bringing a new, state-of-the-art video service to residents in Bend. TDS TV+ is a cloud-based video service that combines customers’ live TV, including local broadcast channels, regional sports content, and national cable channels, with streaming services, like Netflix*, Video on Demand, and apps through TV Everywhere.

“TDS TV+ gives customers complete control over their TV viewing experience,” says Shane West, senior vice president of Marketing, Sales and Customer Operations for TDS. “It makes TV easy and enjoyable again—we’re thrilled to begin offering this groundbreaking product in a forward-thinking community like Bend.”

TDS TV+ is attuned to viewing habits and provides user recommendations. The voice-activated remote allows customers to have quick access to the full functionality of their new TV experience. Customers can also stream live TV and recordings at home on personal devices or stay on-the-go with TV Everywhere.

“I think Central Oregonians are going to be really pleased with the experience,” says Julie Maiers, vice president of Marketing and Product Development for TDS.

TDS TV+ allows customers to search, schedule, record and watch their favorite programs all from one place. They’ll even be able to simultaneously record up to 10 shows and store up to 300 hours of programming by choosing the storage tier that suits them.

TDS TV+ uses a compact receiver that provides a more reliable, higher-quality viewing experience, because it’s maintained and secured by BendBroadband. “This is truly an integrated, intelligent entertainment experience,” says Maiers.

TDS TV+ has been made possible through a series of network investments. Customers can now receive internet speeds from 100Mbps to 1Gig. “Since 2014, BendBroadband has invested close to 50 million dollars in its network infrastructure in Central Oregon,” says West. “Now is the perfect time for customers to check out our faster speeds and brand-new TV experience.”
