A new USTelecom program aims to show consumers, businesses, civic leaders, and policymakers that maintaining legacy copper is not efficient.

The funds include $4.7 million in private investment by Twin Valley and ~$7.6 million from the Kansas Office of Broadband Development’s BAG and BEAD programs.

As the largest local fiber provider in Middle Tennessee, United is building an extensive fiber network through private investment, strategic partnerships, and public funding.

Ripple Fiber will provide free internet service to all of Haverhill’s municipally owned buildings and ensure that Haverhill residents gain access to its fiber network.

An AT&T representative told Telecompetitor the announcement “represents AT&T’s previously planned spend over the next five years.”

Aspire Fiber launched its first service market in Moorpark, California late last year and is undergoing construction in the remainder of Moorpark and nearby Santa Clarita.
