Service provider Sparklight, which says it has more than one million customers across 24 states, has introduced Sparklight Mobile.
The new service offers three plans: 1GB of data for $15 per month, 5GB for $25 per month, and unlimited (for $30 per month).
Telecompetitor reached out to Sparklight, which is a brand of Cable One, for more information on the Sparklight Mobile network. The company said it was “pleased to share that we have partnered with Reach for our MVNE launch.”
MVNEs are mobile virtual network enablers. These firms provide “network infrastructure and related services, such as provisioning, administration and OSS/BSS, to enable mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) to offer services to their own customers,” according to Gartner.
“In today’s world, staying connected at home and on the go is essential,” Sparklight Senior Vice President of Residential Services Tony Mokry said in a press release. “Sparklight Mobile gives customers a dependable mobile option that delivers the flexibility, reliability, and value they expect from a provider they already know and trust.”
In May, the company introduced two plans — one of which includes two speed options — that initially were available in most of its footprint.
The two-speed FlexConnect plan offers 300 Mbps (for $45 per month) and 600 Mbps (for $75 per month). This plan was developed for “flexibility, transparency, and ease,” and the company’s announcement said the plan was free of “deposits, long-term contracts, or surprise fees.”
The other Sparklight plan, Lift Internet, is priced at $29.95 per month. It includes a free modem, free standard installation, and does not require a credit check if the families qualify through a federal assistance program. A representative from Sparklight told Telecompetitor that the plan offers 200/20 Mbps speeds.
