Nearly 194 million Americans (193.6 million) watched online videos via desktop computers in June, comScore reports. Google sites continue to be the leading source of online video content among Americans, attracting 172.7 million unique viewers and driven primarily by YouTube video viewing, according to the latest market data from comScore’s Video Metrix service.
Facebook ranked second to Google Sites in terms of unique viewers in June, attracting 85.7 million. Yahoo Sites followed with 57.5 million. VEVO ranked fourth with 43 million, while Maker Studios ranked fifth with 40.3 million, comScore highlights in a press release.

BrightRoll topped comScore’s ranking for online advertising while VEVO ranked first among YouTube partner channels. BrightRoll served up online video ads to 40.3 percent of the U.S. population in June, according to comScore’s data. Live Rail followed at 31.6 percent, with Specific Media ranking third at 31 percent and AOL fourth at 29.7 percent.
Video music channel VEVO was the top You Tube partner destination for online video viewers, attracting 42.7 million unique viewers. Disney/Maker Studios followed at 39.8 million, with BroadbandTV and QuizGroup ranking third and fourth, attracting 30.7 and 28.3 million, respectively. Warner Music ranked fifth, attracting 26.6 million.
