Champaign, IL – Communications Data Group (CDG) is pleased to announce its recent acquisition by Palmetto Holdings, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Palmetto Rural Telephone Cooperative (PRTC), a member owned telecommunications service provider based in South Carolina.
In making this announcement, PRTC’s CEO, Jason Dandridge, said, “We are very excited to add CDG to the PRTC family. The strength of CDG’s billing experience, client base, and market growth potential is incredibly high, and we feel that PRTC’s industry knowledge and relationships will serve to further cultivate those strengths and help raise CDG to the next level.”
“CDG has been making substantial enhancements to both its consumer billing solution, MBS, and the industry’s leading circuit and access billing product, BDS-I, that will exponentially expand the clients they can serve, the services they offer, and the products with which they can integrate,” noted Dewaine Wilson, CFO for PRTC.
“Given the projects we have been undertaking at PRTC the last couple years, expansion is kind of our middle name right now” added PRTC’s CTO, Tony Stout. “That experience really puts us in a great position to help CDG push forward to the next steps in its evolution – and beyond.”
CDG will operate as an independent subsidiary of PRTC; however, several key executives at PRTC will be filling leadership roles at CDG in addition to their PRTC duties. PRTC’s CEO, Jason Dandridge, CFO, Dewaine Wilson, and CTO, Tony Stout, will serve respectively as the new CEO, CFO, and CTO of CDG.
