HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Aug 09, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) — ADTRAN(R), Inc., (NASDAQ:ADTN), a leading provider of next-generation networking solutions, today announced that Oxford Networks, a telecommunications company providing phone, Internet and data services to businesses and residents across the state of Maine, has selected ADTRAN’s flagship product, the Total Access(R) 5000 Multi-Service Access and Aggregation Platform (MSAP), to deliver a mix of voice, High-Speed Internet Access, Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH), and Carrier Ethernet services to its residential and business customers, including key anchor institutions such as schools and libraries.

Oxford Networks has one of the largest fiber investments in northern New England and is aggressively modernizing its network to bring next-generation services to market using the 10 Gigabit Ethernet transport of the Total Access 5000. Oxford Networks selected ADTRAN based on the flexibility and unprecedented bandwidth capacity of the Total Access 5000. The ability of the Total Access 5000 to enable service providers to offer multiple services from a single platform made it a clear winner.
