Oklahoma Telco Selects ADTRAN

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Jul 26, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) — ADTRAN(R), Inc., (NASDAQ:ADTN), a leading provider of next-generation networking solutions, today announced that Beggs Telephone Company, Inc., an independent, family owned service provider, has selected ADTRAN’s flagship product, the Total Access(R) 5000 Multi-Service Access and Aggregation Platform (MSAP), to migrate from legacy switches and deliver next-generation, IP-based voice and data services to business and residential customers in the Oklahoma region.

Beggs Telephone selected ADTRAN’s Total Access 5000 for its unique ability to allow service providers to launch future-oriented applications and services while enabling legacy migration. Deploying the Total Access 5000 provides a forward-looking solution as the growth in bandwidth requirements continues to increase. The Total Access 5000 not only accommodates customers using existing services like POTS and DSL, but can also provide other revenue-generating service for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH), Carrier Ethernet, and other business-class services. The ability to scale and meet the demands of both bandwidth and vertical services revenue opportunities is a critical feature of the Total Access 5000 solution.
