midcoA Midcontinent brand refresh is highlighted by a new logo and shortened name to Midco. The midwestern cable MSO formerly known as Midcontinent Communications, serving 330K customers in North and South Dakotas, Minnesota, and Wisconsin will now be known as Midco.

Midco joins a growing number of communications companies with long histories, cable and telco alike, to refresh their look and brand. As companies transition into broadband service providers from core cable and telephone roots, they are increasingly looking to match that transition with a fresh, new, and modern look.

Midcontinent Brand Refresh
“Midco has a long history of blazing new trails and launching the latest technology to deliver communications and entertainment to homes and businesses across the region,” says Pat McAdaragh, Midco President and CEO in a press release. ”Most of our customers already call us Midco. We believe our shortened name, logo and marketing honor our past, and more importantly, point to where we’re going in the future.”

Frontier recently updated their look, as have a host of other smaller tier-3 telco and cable companies.

Midco highlighted the importance of their new look as they embark on an ambitious gigabit broadband project. That project intends to bring gigabit broadband to their entire service territory by the end of 2017.
