A new Blackfoot brand from the Montana based regional carrier will unify multiple brands under one identity. Blackfoot has expanded through acquisition and other means into neighboring states, while also expanding its product portfolio beyond its incumbent local phone company focus.
This move integrates acquired operating company Fremont Communications into the new Blackfoot brand, joining other acquired operating companies into a single brand identity.
“Today’s Blackfoot brand represents the continued efforts to provide advanced communications and broadband services in Montana, Idaho and beyond,” said Bill Squires, CEO at Blackfoot in a press release. “Blackfoot’s new brand identity and logo unifies its operating companies by completing the integration of Fremont Communications into Blackfoot and signifying our intent to continue developing and enhancing our services and solutions.”

Like many regional providers with local telephone company roots, Blackfoot has evolved into a broader regional carrier, with much more focus on broadband, business and enterprise, and wholesale services. With that shift, a new brand identity is a smart move, one that many smaller service providers are undertaking.

“We’ve grown from a local telephone provider to a regional technology leader, providing modern technologies starting from regional telephone service to today’s innovative voice, data and cloud solutions,” commented Joel Block, VP of Customer Operations and Marketing at Blackfoot. “Just like our solutions and community have grown over time, our brand continues to evolve to meet the needs of our customers.”
